Golf Physical Therapy

Rehab That Goes the Distance

Therapy is more than just recovery—it’s a strategic, personalized approach to helping you move better, play longer, and live pain-free. Whether you’re looking to get back on the golf course or simply feel stronger day to day, every session is designed with your goals in mind. This is movement with intention. This is therapy with a purpose.

Golfer with Pain

Shoulder

Limited shoulder mobility restricts your ability to rotate fully during the backswing, forcing compensation through the spine and hips. This not only reduces power and consistency but also increases the risk of injury over time.

Neck

Poor neck mobility limits your ability to maintain proper head position and rotate smoothly through your swing. This can disrupt timing, reduce swing efficiency, and place extra strain on your shoulders and lower back.

Lumbar Spine

Decreased mobility in the hips and thoracic spine puts extra strain on the lower back during the golf swing. Without proper rotation from these key areas, the low back is forced to do more than it’s built for—leading to pain, stiffness, and a higher risk of injury over time.

Thoracic Spine

The thoracic spine is essential for smooth, efficient rotation in your golf swing. When mobility here is limited, your body compensates with excessive movement in the lower back and shoulders—reducing power, disrupting swing mechanics, and increasing injury risk.

Hips

The hips play a central role in generating power and rotation in the golf swing. Limited hip mobility is one of the most common and significant restrictors of an efficient swing—forcing compensations in the lower back, knees, and shoulders, and often leading to pain or injury.

Knees

The knees play a central role in stability and force transfer during the golf swing. Limited knee mobility or strength can disrupt stance, rotation, and weight shift—forcing compensations in the hips, ankles, and lower back, and increasing the risk of pain or injury.

Elbow

The elbow plays a key role in controlling the club through your swing. Limited mobility or poor stability at the elbow can disrupt timing, affect clubface control, and increase strain on the shoulder and wrist—especially during impact and follow-through.

Ankle & Foot

The foot and ankle play a key role in balance and power throughout your swing. Limited mobility or poor stability in these joints can affect stance, weight transfer, and force generation—placing extra stress on the knees, hips, and lower back during your swing and follow-through.

Is Your Body Holding Back Your Swing?

The golf swing demands fluid, full-body rotation—but four key areas often limit that movement: neck, shoulders, thoracic spine, and hips.

Through their targeted approach, I regained strength and mobility without surgery. Now I’m back to playing golf and tennis without any limitations—and I feel better than I have in years. I’ve since committed to training 3x/week with them to make sure it stays that way.”
